Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy (born April 16th 1996) was born in Miami Florida. She is the child of Dennis Alan Taylor, a former banking executive and Jennifer Marina Joy, a psychologist named Anya Taylor-Joy. She is an Argentinean of Scottish, English and Argentinean heritage. The mother of her is Spanish-English. Taylor-Joy has five siblings four from her father's previous marriage. Buenos Aires was her home until she turned six, and the family relocated from the city of Victoria at the time of London. Taylor-Joy says that moving to London was traumatizing and that she was unable to learn English to avoid moving back to Argentina. Hill House, a school within the same district as Northlands was obligated to accept her. Later, she enrolled in Queen's Gate School where she trained in ballet and appeared in school productions. In her 16th year she left the school and pursued a career as an actress full-time. Taylor-Joy was always aware of her desire to work as an actor. She was given a opportunity by Sarah Doukas founder of Storm Management and was offered a job as a model.
