Taylor
Taylor Swift has become a unique pop star: a celebrity who has strayed from the world of country music to pop culture and became a pop icon that will endure forever, and sweeping over all of the world. Swift let go of the influences from her country music in the sense that they had been added as an extra layer of skin and revealed she was among the finest singers/songwriters from the generation she was born into. Swift could make the event personal and use the moment to benefit. Swift's first hits, particularly the neo tribute to Tim McGraw, showed off her talents. The album from 2008 Fearless showed a singer-songwriter who was discovering herself and was able to draw a wide audience. Fearless became a massive success and not just in the US with six singles have been declared platinum, on top of Top Ten hit songs Love Story and Belong with Me. But it also performed well around all over the world. Swift's next album Speak Now, released nearly two years following the debut, further consolidated this success. The album propelled Swift to the heights of fame. Swift's popularity grew through her subsequent three albums: Red (2012), 1989 (2014) and Reputation (2017). Swift was now firmly established within a genre where she belonged. She stayed in the forefront of pop until she reverted to her own style on her sister albums Folklore and Evermore in 2020.
