Anita Sarkeesian is a Canadian-American feminist media critic and public speaker. Feminist Frequency is a website which hosts video and commentary looking at the portrayals of gender roles in pop media and popular. Anita Sarkeesian has been a media critic, blogger and award-winning feminist for nearly a decade. Feminist Frequency, a web-based resource dedicated to education, which examines women's role in the narratives of pop culture was the result of her research. Additionally, she serves as the executive director. She is committed to deconstructing stereotypes about women and how they are depicted in pop culture. Additionally, she works to raise awareness of online harassment directed at women, and other the marginalized communities of people. Sarkeesian, who holds the degree of Master's in Political and Social thought at York University, is a popular public speaking. She has delivered speeches at the TEDxWomen festival as well as United Nations Broadband Working Group to Gender. Feminist Frequency was created in 2009 by Sarkeesian. a University student who has been involved in topics concerning gender and feminism for a long time. The ebullient young woman was slammed online for launching a website that focused on the gender of videogames. However the attack could have been a hindrance, rather it was a boost to her determination as a feminist critic of media. Her many notable contributions in the feminist field were recognized by a variety of awards. Anita Sarkeesian was a multi-award award-winning journalist. She was also the creator and director of Feminist Frequency a nonprofit educational group that focuses on pop-culture representations of females.
